Windows on Wildlife - Woodland Reflection Pool

£175.00

Tutor: Jack Lodge
Host: Windows on Wildlife

I will be running morning sessions at Dean’s reflection pond hide from Monday 13th October 2025 - Friday 17th October 2025 where I have a maximum of three spaces per session, meaning we have the hide to ourselves for 4 hours of reflection pool fun - if these sessions fill up fast, I will also offer the option of doing an afternoon session on each day from 13:00 - 17:00.

I’ll be on hand the entire time to give advice and tuition, help with spotting and identification, as well as be chief tea and coffee maker (cheeky biscuits and/or shortbread will also be supplied)

The itinerary for the morning session is as follows, if you are travelling down and wish to do multiple days, please make sure you add both to your basket before checkout. I have plenty of recommendations for local accommodation to get the best from your visit.

  • Morning Sessions (08:00 - 12:00)

    Meet at Barley Mow: 07:45

    Arrive at Hide: 08:00

    Finish at Hide: 12:00

Return to Local Car Park: 12:15

Meeting Address: Barley Mow Inn, Long Ln, Wimborne BH21 7AH

*Limited to 3 spaces per session (feel free to book with family and/or friends)

Woodland Reflection Pool Hide Workshop (Max 3 Participants)

This group workshop will be limited to just 3 people, ensuring you get my full attention throughout. Sadly Dean will not be on location with us, as he’s on a well deserved holiday, so it’ll just be myself for company (hope that’s OK!)

When adding the workshop to your basket, please let me know of any individual requirements and what you’d personally like to achieve from the session.

Situated on completely private land in rural Dorset and surrounded by ancient woodland; therefore eliminating the risk of interruption from ramblers or uninvited passers by, and giving you the perfect opportunity not to miss that “One that got away" image!

The hide itself is just a short 2 minute walk after parking your vehicle. On wet and wintry days the field which is flat can be quite muddy, so appropriate footwear and warm clothing is highly recommended for your comfort. The towns of Wimborne Minster and Ferndown are very close by, both within 3 miles of the site.
